Jubler recode subtitles7/31/2023 ![]() ![]() To shift your subtitle text, go to the Tools menu and click Synchronize.To select some subtitles lines, select the first subtitle line, hold down the Shift key and click the last line in the selection. To select all subtitle lines in the file, go to the Edit menu, then click Select –> All. Select the subtitle lines you want to shift the text for.In other words, you are shifting the text relative to the timestamps. This task is for a scenario where you want your timestamps to stay the same, but would like to shift the subtitle text (in the previous step we moved both text and the timestamps). In the example below, all subtitles have been shifted forward by two seconds. The subtitles you selected will now display different timestamps based on your specification as they have moved forward or backward in the audio timeline.Jubler displays time in the format HH:MM:SS,sss. To select the time by which you want to move forward or backward, enter the time in the text box, or use the arrow keys.To shift your subtitles backward in time (behind where they currently are), choose the plus (+) sign. To shift your subtitles forward in time ( ahead of where they currently are), under the Shift Subtitles section, choose the minus (-) sign.The “Shift Time by Absolute Value” dialog box will appear. To fix the subtitles, go to the Tools –> Shift Time.Otherwise, select the lines you want using the Shift or Command ⌘/Control keys for a MAC/PC. To select the entire file, click on the Edit menu and then Select –> All. Select the subtitle lines you want to shift (most likely the entire file). ![]() In this case, you will want to shift the subtitles lines (both the timestamps and the text) either forward or backward to match the video. This may happen in instances when the subtitle file and the video file have come from different sources, or have different frame rates. there is a lag, or conversely the subtitles appear ahead of time.
